This past week marked my eighth real estate transaction—yes, I’m basically a semi-professional homebuyer at this point—and my very first in the majestic land of North Carolina. I would like to add one more thing… Dave’s support does not end at the day of closing. We asked for multiple recommendations regarding various types of contractors. Dave has a guy for everything! Most importantly, these contractors are truly professionals. And if you mention Dave’s name, they will do their best to squeeze you into their busy calendars as soon as possible. Dave has been genuinely interested in our cooperation with them. He even provided a lockbox and gave us some practical advice on what to discuss with each contractor. To sum up, Dave and his team are the best of the best and we will always recommend them!

We have moved multiple times for work, and without question, Kelly is the best real estate agent I’ve worked with. I have endless examples of her skills, but two themes standout out. First is Kelly’s uncanny ability to see things the buyer and seller don’t see. Countless times Kelly would walk through a home, or perform pre- or post-walkthrough research, and point out yellow or red flags. I trusted highly in Kelly’s investigative abilities, and to be real with us rather than try and persuade us.
The second theme is Kelly’s ability to 'get things done.' Despite being a popular and busy agent, Kelly never made us wait for showings, paperwork, etc. At first, I wasn’t sure how she could be so on point - since we have trouble doing the same in our own occupations. However, after 3 months with Kelly, I’ve picked up on a few attributes: 1) She works extremely hard; 2) Is sensitive and accommodating to the buyer/sellers off-hour schedule; 3) Has an amazing team; and 4) Based on her experience and track record, has a large circle of influence.
While we hope to be in our new home for awhile, we would instantly hire Kelly in the event of future real estate endeavors. The outcome speaks for itself, but she made our experience fun. We are so, so appreciative of Kelly.

Yesterday we closed on our dream home. This is the second home that we’ve bought with Liz as our realtor and as happy I am to be closed, I will miss daily chats and meetings with Liz. Relocating to a new area is certainly a daunting task. Luckily, on our first fact-finding trip to the Raleigh area, we stayed at a lovely AirBnB and discovered that the contact person, Ronda Falk, was a realtor, so we reached out to her for some information on the local towns. She took the time to clearly explain how she works with both local and out-of-town clients on a regular basis, and provided an overview of how she could help us narrow the numerous choices out there and navigate some of the pitfalls which befall potential home buyers.
We arranged a second trip a few weeks later, more as a fact-finding, area-narrowing mission than an actual home search. Ronda met us at our hotel with a clipboard in hand and a detailed map of five or six areas she felt would work for our needs. She had chosen basically five to six houses in each area that she felt would help us narrow down our choices. We were immediately put at ease with her cheerful demeanor, knowledge of the Raleigh area (she’s a long-time resident) and organized approach. She was confident that we would find a place that would “check all of our boxes” (and we had a lot of boxes to check!).
Ronda had broken the search into three days, which we spent visiting each area and available homes in each. Ronda had a detailed plan for each day. She explained lifestyle highlights of each area, showing us a few homes, and discussing our likes and dislikes. She was very patient with us, which helped a lot as we weren’t exactly sure what we were looking for. Ronda really drilled down on what we were looking for in a home and an area, and especially the features that would eliminate a home from our decision. That was super helpful, as it narrowed the homes we would be interested in, making the search more effective. And, after seeing the various towns and home styles the Raleigh area has to offer, we found our dream home in Wake Forest on our last day with her.
Once we decided that this was the home for us, Ronda carefully laid out the process of North Carolina home buying. She let us know what to expect and what pitfalls to avoid. She really knows her stuff, and we really had the feeling that she was looking out for our best interests just as much as making a sale. That really put us at ease during what can be a really stressful time. Seven weeks later, and thanks to her patient explanations of the process all along the way, we closed on our new home and couldn’t be more excited. Ronda’s help didn’t end there though, as she stayed in touch with us, answering our many relocation questions, and even recommending local contractors to help make our dream home a reality.

Sharon did a great job advising us what we needed to do to make our 26 year old house competitive with newer houses. She arranged the cleaning services, painting and new carpet installation, new light fixtures, staging and video,photo services. We had a good offer over asking price in about 4 hours. She gave us great advice throughout the whole process. She was always available for questions. We were very happy throughout the whole process of a potentially very stressful event. In addition others' equally laudatory responses, and based on my experience selling three previous houses, Sharon is far and away the best agent with whom I’ve worked. She is about as close to perfect as an agent as any human could be. The most important thing to say about her work in selling my pretty modest (under $200k) house is that she did everything she would do to sell a house 10 X that amount! She did not stint or cut corners in any way. Sharon is very focused, detail-oriented, and efficient. All the while remaining cheerful and upbeat. And she ALWAYS responds virtually immediately. She also has some very creative ideas about staging, decor, and photography (which she does herself). I didn’t understand and was very apprehensive when she asked me to "create more visual space" in my (seven!) closets. This was major work - because when you reduce the contents of your closets by at least half, you have to do something with what you’ve removed. Duh! But I am so glad she "made" me do this because otherwise I would have come up to the move with all this work to do in a very short amount of time (as the house sold in 4 days, after 34 showings, and 11 offers, all but one above asking). I would undoubtedly have ended up hauling all this stuff to my out-of-state destination. Overall, Sharon is a real can-do person. Even when we encountered a couple of problems close to when the house was going on the market, problems that I thought would’ve meant at least a delay in the sale, she worked very hard, again on this kind of "small potatoes" house to "get 'er done." That’s the kind of agent you want in your corner. Thank you, Sharon!!

We recently moved from New York to North Carolina. When we first came down here last October we met with Taryn. We had a great listing experience with Thomas. We found him because he was the listing agent of our house when we bought it, and we figured he might know the house well.
