When things got sticky during the contingency period (no fault of hers, the other side was being very prickly) she went above and beyond to find us plumbing experts and to negotiate with the other side. She was an incredible resource throughout the entire process, explaining everything well and being incredibly responsive. No matter what time of day or night I texted her, I got a response within 5 min, max. Even after we bought the house there was an HVAC issue and we called her and she got on the phone with the other side’s real estate agent to try to resolve. She didn’t just consider our relationship done because the house purchase was complete. I cannot recommend Belinda highly enough. Buying a house is hugely stressful and she makes it less so. She provided a wealth of information to help us get a good feel for the market and then when we were ready, she presented properties that met our criteria. Colleen’s skills really shined when she took on the task of selling our existing home while we were out of the country on an extended vacation. She used several open houses to find several prospective buyers and then worked with the buyer’s broker to arrive at a very favorable deal in a deteriorating real estate market. While we were gone, she negotiated the details of the inspection, remediation and all the other details that go alone with a complex transaction. I was barely qualified to purchase an entry-level home with an FHA loan and downpayment assistance in a very competitive market. Many first-time homebuyers experience being outbid and I have friends who have lost house after house trying to find the right fit, but not me. I was working with Garvin.
Garvin knew every detail of my loan requirements before I did. He showed me a few homes and immediately understood my needs, even better than I did. Even though it was a small deal compared to many of his other clients, who include developers and investors, Garvin made sure I was prioritized and he was always available.
Within 5 days of my mortgage preapproval, we had seen about 5 houses, found a gem, made a competitive bid with great conditions and I was in contract within a week. It was a great relief to have secured an amazing property at a great price, but Garvin’s job was just beginning.
Knowing my financial situation, Garvin worked into the deal that the seller would contribute $5000 towards my closing costs. This was huge. He recommended a great inspector who noticed several issues that might affect the FHA approval. Garvin made sure the seller made those improvements without any delay, saving me thousands more. The house appraised for 2.7% over the sale price in a market where buyers typically pay 1.5% over the appraised value. This savings is more than his commission.
Garvin checked and double-checked the home improvements, saving me thousands of dollars and future headaches. He watched the plumbing cam video to make sure the home’s sewage system was cleared out to the street saving me thousands of dollars more and future plumbing issues. He gave me solid advice and solid recommendations every step of the way, saving me thousands and thousands of dollars more.
6 weeks after being approved for my loan, I closed on a beautiful home in a high-demand area with little out-of-pocket expenses, and the house already has many thousands of dollars of equity in it. How could any of this have been better? It could not have been better. It was the best real estate deal I could have hoped for. Sure, there were curveballs, but Garvin was on top of every detail and he navigated every obstacle gracefully with my best interests at heart.
If it were not for Garvin Laverick, I would still be looking for a home instead of living in one. Garvin’s expertise, professionalism, and commitment to me as a client have made my dream of homeownership a reality.

We worked with Kevin on the soup-to-nuts process of buying a home in Denver, while living on the east coast. In early February, Kevin graciously fielded a phone call along the lines of: "We are happy on the east coast, but are toying with the idea of a family-driven move to Denver. What should we be thinking about?" In March, when we visited Denver to explore neighborhood, Kevin organized a Denver neighborhood tour and took us to see properties in different parts of town. One thing we really appreciated is that Kevin meaningfully staggered properties across different ends of our budget, rather than pushing us to properties at the higher end of our budget. Kevin was laser-focused on welcoming us to town and on helping us understand what money would get in different parts of town – rather than focused on pushing a sale.
When we returned to the east coast, Kevin helped us monitor the "crazy Denver market" and graciously toured homes on our behalf, sending us videos each time. When we found our home, Kevin advised us on offer strategy and then was particularly helpful during the tight contract period. He patiently fielded tons of phone calls and questions and numbered agenda lists from us at all times of day. He also handled several idiosyncratic requests from us during the closing, never showing the slightest hint of frustration or annoyance.
Here are three things that we think set Kevin apart from other high-end agents. 1) The first is exothermic energy and good cheer: As buying a home and navigating the real estate can be incredibly stressful, it is valuable to partner with an agent with a calming, sunny disposition.
2) The second is endless patience: In our five months of looking at properties with Kevin, we felt zero pressure from him ever to make an offer; Kevin plays the long game with clients and understands that the best way to secure future business is just to do good work; in fact, Kevin never asked us to sign an exclusivity agreement, preferring instead to earn our business over time.
3) And the third is deep local knowledge: Kevin explained time and again why buying a home in Denver in 2022 was different than buying a home in other places; he knew the ins-and-outs of local appraisals and inspections and neighborhoods and listened carefully to what we wanted in a neighborhood.
