I contacted her in 2021 looking to buy a condo (she came highly recommened by a friend) - I reached out on a Thursday, went to see some properties two days later on Saturday, we submitted an offer same day, we countered on Monday and my offer was accepted on Tuesday. Everything went smoothly on my end and she was very supportive and responsive throughout the process.

In 2023 I worked with her again to sell the condo - she was very kind, understanding and professional when I had to back out earlier in the year due to family health issues, but jumped right back in when I was ready to go in late August. When I first met Diane, I thought she might be the kind of real estate broker/agent we were looking for. She was hosting an open house; the house was so large it had an elevator, and it clearly was not for us. What do you really want in a realtor? There are some soft skills and some hard skills. Part I – Review is broken in to two parts because of character limit restrictions in place.

Approximately 8 years ago, in 2010, my wife and I were doing our taxes at one of those places that seemingly spring up out of nowhere, every year at tax time. During our time with the tax consultant, we happened to mention that we were wanting to sell out townhome, but we were upside down on it (owed more than it was worth, because of the housing crash in 2008/9). The tax consultant referred us to Fiona Theseira, because not only did she have experience with short sales, she also had experience with military servicemembers, like me. Our hope at that time was to be able to sell that house and then eventually buy a new place.

Unfortunately, because of certain work requirements and constraints that I was under with the military, doing a short sale proved to be a bad idea. Even still, Fiona never complained when we ended up taking our property off the market after a week and having received 8 different offers in just a week of showings. Three years later, we considered trying again and Fiona was there to assist us once again. Unfortunately, we ended up still not being able to sell at that time, and again, Fiona never complained, but tried to help us as much as she reasonably good. We ended up renting out that place and then bought a new place in Riverside county, for which Fiona referred us to another agent because it was out of her normal area (that was in 2013).

Fast forward to 2017 and the townhouse that we had been upside down on for so long was finally "above water" and we were able to finally sell it and get the albatross off of our backs. Unfortunately, the renters had done us no favors in taking care of the place and we ended up having to put approximately 20K in repairs and modernization to get it ready to sell. Thankfully, FIona was there to guide us through the process and knew handymen, painters, counter top experts, flooring companies, and they all helped us, at a fair and reasonable price, to renovate the entire place and give it a much-needed facelift. When my wife and I got scared, Fiona was the one who made sure that things continued until the end when it was time to finally put the property up for sale. 3 days after putting it on the market, we received an offer for our asking price! And 30 days later, the house was officially sold, and we owed it all to Fiona. However, that’s not where the story ends…​

We still had a house in Riverside county that we needed to sell, as we desperately wanted to move back to the San Diego area. I had been driving 75 miles each way to work in Point Loma and it had just become too much and had mentally and physically worn me down to the point where I just couldn’t take it anymore. We found an agent who also happens to be a neighbor in the area, who would help us sell our house. However, although he was nice, he just didn’t have the experience that Fiona had with working with Navy Federal Credit Union and VA loans (the buyers were also military using a VA loan). Fiona was the one who guided the other agent when he didn’t know what to do, when issues with the buyers and buyer’s agent came up.

You see, not only has Fiona been an agent for a while, I found out at this time that she also used to be an underwriter, who also processed real estate transaction paperwork for approximately 20 years! So when issues with the buyers loan paperwork arose, it was Fiona who talked with my agent, the buyer’s agent, and both the banks to get things pushed through. Her expertise is unmatched and unparalleled. So, due in very large part to her help, our house in Riverside closed on time, and we were finally free of both properties. Even more importantly, we were finally able to buy a new place back in the San Diego area, which would accommodate our family, which had grown from two people to five. Of course, there was only one agent we trusted to help us buy a new place, and of course, it was Fiona.

We worked with Gabi on a probate situation which included both purchasing a new condo and selling a long-time family home. She was nothing but fantastic, really putting in the work to help our nephew find his new home and helping us to sell the family home. Her guidance was invaluable–without it we would have netted substantially less on the sale.

Jeff is such a great realtor to work with. For us, in both buying and then eventually selling the same house 3 years later. He has always been easy for us to get ahold of, and went way out of his way to make both our purchase and sale as easy and smooth as possible. The Agent You Want. Jen is definitely the agent you want in a competitive market. We had 2 other agents who were both very nice, but could not get it done for us at the height of the housing frenzy. She does not hesitate to get someone on the phone (repeatedly if that’s what it takes) and advocate for you as a viable client. Jen gets it done, but also knows small (or not so small) details that are important, such as local taxes to prepare for in that first year, additions to the purchase like American Home Shield in case there are items the inspector does not find (which saved us about $2k this first year), or just knowing what you, the client, is really looking for, but also what it realistic. We really appreciated that she took a good hour with us (at least an hour) for our first meeting to get to know what we were looking for, our history with home buying, etc., then had a good feel for sending us listings, but did not desperately bombard us, let us look, then she was on it when the time came to act. We lost out on multiple properties before connecting with Jen, she was the one who was able to get it done for us!

Mayra is very attentive, quick at responding, helpful and excellent to work with. Melinda is the exact type of person everyone should be looking for in a realtor. She is very type-A personality and scrappy. My name is Robert. I am the successor trustee of my parents estate. I live in Arizona and listed the property with the Parra Team. I didn’t have any fears listing my property with the Parra Team, I felt totally at ease but the tenant sure did throw a monkey wrench into things.

I have never done a sale of this type of property before, especially with all the extra items on Mom’s and Dad’s house which is 4+ acres. Dad left a lot of personal items behind and had let friend’s dump on the property. Melody helped find businesses to repair items such as the septic system on 2 units. OMG! The Tenant! I guess she thought she was going to be able to just remain on the property forever.

Harvey sold my property. I didn’t write a review because that’s not something I do. But when he asked me if I would, I thought it only fair since he did such a great job, getting me more money than I anticipated, helping get contractors do all the prep work to get it ready for sale Harvey is not only a great person but someone you can rely on to get the work done. He also helped with deciding what added value and what did not. Also the costs were reasonable. I actually wish I still had a piece of property to sell or rent because I know he would have been an excellent manager. Harvey was clearly a full-service guy.

Michael Garner is a Wonderful realtor! He definitely went the extra mile in helping me get my Lake San Marcos house updated, staged and ready so that I could get top dollar. The remodel cost for the interior and backyard updates were paid at closing, which was awesome. He has a great attitude and continually works to keep things positive and moving forward. If I could give Michael more stars I would. Michael helped my husband and I purchase a home in Encinitas all while we were in Denver! I met Michael at an open house in October while we were in the area for a long weekend. We were wanting to start our home search soon, so I thought I would check out a few open houses in the area. After exchanging numbers, Michael kept in touch, sending us homes to look at and really doing a great job honing in on what and where we were looking. Having grew up in the area, I had a pretty good idea of where we wanted to look and Michael was very attentive to our wishes. He went to open houses, would look at every house we were interested in, providing video and pictures of homes. We were over bid a couple times on a two different houses and when we were becoming discouraged Michael with right there with a positive attitude. I’m a first-time homebuyer, and was looking for a condo. Started poking around on RedFin and found a place I wanted to tour so it paired me with Mike to set that up. My parents own a house so I wasn’t going in blind, but neither they nor I knew much about how condos worked. That’s where Mike came in. He was incredibly helpful and knowledgable from beginning to end, and I really want to emphasize that, the whole process. The first place ended up not being a match, and I didn’t look again until 9 months later. Mike kept me informed on market trends and a few times I had questions he answered them quickly. When I began looking again, he was great at scheduling tours of places I liked, and gave me insights on his experiences with some of the complexes I was interested in.

The real value though came when I decided I wanted to make an offer on a place. We got the offer out quick enough to avoid ending up needing to outbid other potential buyers. The next 30 days were some of the most hectic I’ve ever had. Thankfully any time I had a question about anything, Mike walked me through it. The contingencies were all dealt with as scheduling allowed, such as home inspection (which ended up with me getting a bunch of the seller’s furniture, of greater value, in place of repair credit), HOA contingency reviewing documents and requesting a few missing documents through the escrow, etc. Even after closing, he’s been answering any remaining questions I have, and has offered advice and vendor recommendations for any issues that may arise.

Working with Mike felt very informal yet very professional at the same time. He’s very friendly, I never felt intimated or hesitant to ask a dumb question. And he’s very knowledgable. I’ve already recommended him to a couple friends and plan to work with him again in the future.

Very professional from the time I first meet him till after closing on my dream home. Communication was top notch as well as his work ethic. Molly Fleming is a great real estate broker–the best broker we have ever worked with. When we decided to get a second home in southern CA (we are from NY), we interviewed multiple brokers. Nate came as a recommendation from a Navy friend of my husbands. He came to our house for an "interview" and to chat about the home sale process. Professional and very honest. We looked at several houses with Nick. He was always on time to show us the properties. Always gave his honest assessment about how much the house was going to sell for (and was always spot on, plus or minus 5-6k). Never made us feel rushed, was very patient while we looked at a lot of homes before settling on one. He worked very hard to make sure our offer was accepted (there were multiple offers on the home; his advice on how much we should put in down payment and how much we should offer was invaluable).
