The Character Limit on this review is not enough for me to complete this. I am just going to start by saying that "We would have never been able to get our home if we had been working with anyone other than Chris!!"

I spoke to Chris mid year 2021 when I told him that we are still on the fence and are not actively looking for a home. I don’t think it is possible to find a better realtor than Michael Thompson. He helped me in 2010 when I bought a home in Oakland, and again in 2021 when I moved to Boston and sold it. In both instances, the results could not have been better.

Michael is all about high quality service, open communication, and maintaining integrity. When I bought my home, I always felt that Michael had my best interest at heart. He treated me like a queen throughout the entire multi-month process and I know for a fact that he often works with properties that are more expensive than what I could afford. Having Michael at my side – someone I could trust 100 percent – was invaluable.

When I was looking for my home, I had to rely heavily on Michael’s advice more than once as he firmly guided me away from a couple of properties I very much wanted to consider. Although it was difficult to wait for the right place as the weeks and months passed, in the end I was grateful I took his advice. The home I owned for 11 years was beautiful and in a fantastic location.

When I decided to move to Boston, I met with Michael to discuss preparing my home for sale and the marketing strategy for selling it quickly. Michael had a very clear plan based on strong research of the market and his decades of experience. He communicated that plan to me and we discussed every detail until I was comfortable with it. When my home went on the market, the buyer walked in the door within 24 hours and made a very strong offer. My home sold quickly and for over asking price.

I am especially grateful to Michael for managing every aspect of getting my home ready to go to market, from the paint job to staging and everything in between. Since I was in Boston while this process took place, I relied on his expertise and the contractors he brought in, all of whom he has worked with for years. Michael communicated every nuance with me, making sure I agreed to all his suggestions before moving ahead.

Additionally, Michael was superb in handling a thorny issue that arose around compliance with a city code. He worked extra hard to get this issue resolved, including helping me know what I could do to move the process forward. He even took the extra step to make personal contact with a key person who then assisted with the process. Thankfully, after more than a month of trying different angles, the issue was resolved shortly before escrow closed.

Some of my family and friends marvel when I tell them about Michael. They’ve had experiences with realtors that weren’t as positive. I only wish that Boston was part of his territory!

I have nothing but good things to say about Taylor Sublett. As a first time homebuyer, I was incredibly nervous and overwhelmed by the enormity of finding and buying a house. Taylor took the time to discuss what I was looking for, what budget I could operate in, what timeline I was operating on, and how best he could help me (providing guidance, access to resources, finding places that fit what I was looking for, etc).

He provided tools and advice for reviewing homes on the market. The advice of what to look out for, what language to parse through, what tell tale signs that could signify a place was good or bad was invaluable.

He was incredibly patient and did not try to rush me into a home. He made sure I was selecting a place for the right reasons and made sure I understood what the HOAs and Disclosure documents were saying.

During the actual process of putting in an offer and actually buying, Taylor made sure I knew what the next steps were, what would be required of me, and what options I had at each step.

Taylor was there for me every step of the way. He was willing to come out and visit houses with me, he was willing to field all the questions I had (even the ones I worried were a little stupid), and he was willing to wait until I found the perfect place.

Tia helped us find an amazing home right when we were about to give up on trying to buy in this very difficult market. Tia knows the market, she is well-connected and well-respected, and she works hard for her clients.

The online interface for sharing listings was clunky, and a lot of communication happened via text, which had its pros and cons. During the escrow process / document blizzard we had a stressful miscommunication but Tia fixed it right away.

She was very informative, patiently triangulated three adults’ various priorities and our vision for a family compound, responded quickly to all communications, and used her experience and connections within the real estate landscape to find us a home we might have overlooked on our own but that exceeds our hopes!

We used Tracy to purchase our first home in a crazy market in early 2021 and it made what could have been a very stressful process much smoother.
