Selling my home through Doug Hopkins was a seamless process! Everyone was nice and polite. Gerry was the most professional and competent agent anyone could ask for. We had a horrific time with the lender and the title company and if it wasn’t for Gerry staying on top of everything and making sure those entities complied with the provisions of our contract we would still be looking for a closing date and resolution of our funds. I would encourage everyone to stay away from this incompetent, uncommunicative lender who continued to show no urgency for getting the job done and for the title company who seemed to continually have problems using their own tools to get the job done. Gerry should also get a portion of the buyer’s agent’s funds as she lacked doing her job in a timely manner and keeping both companies able to slowly and inefficiently move the process forward. Karrie was absolutely amazing! She went so above and beyond in every way. She showed us quite a few properties, meeting us last minute many times if something we loved came onto the market. She was honest when going through the houses, not just trying to sell to us for a “quick close.” Once we found the perfect house, Karrie submitted our offer quickly (even though she has a trip to SD planned)! She booked our inspection, etc. The home inspection was great, but the pool inspection was not satisfactory to her standards. Karrie got our money refunded for the pool inspection and found an inspector who specializes in pools to check it out and make sure everything was working properly. Additionally, while my husband and I were vacation, Karrie went so above and beyond by sending us videos of how to work our pool heater/pumps since we never had a pool before and she didn’t want us left out of the loop. I recently decided to move to the Phoenix area. My daughter and her husband recommended Nicole, (their real estate agent), and set up a three-way phone consultation with her. We chatted for a bit, and she asked me several questions to get a feel for what I was looking for. We talked about size, different amenities, time frames, and a spending budget. She added me to her web site to receive listings of the homes for sale meeting the criteria I gave her. We decided I’d look at different homes remotely and a few weeks later spend a couple of days visiting the homes I liked best. And it was just that easy. By the time I arrived for the first appointment she was ready with a game plan based on my selections. As we began entering homes, she let me take in the different rooms for myself and when we left, we’d share our opinions with each other. I never once felt pushed to buy. We relocated from California to Phoenix two years ago. I did not expect this to be the sellers market is was then and still is. She helped with booking a home inspection two days after showing interest in the house, she was at the house for both first walk and final walk, she also attended for the signing on the closing day and handing me the house keys. She got me a beautiful gift for the house, and she was so happy for me I felt she was very genuine. (I work in the hospitality field and I meet on an average around 100 people a day, and I really can tell of someone is fake or real), and she is real and very positive person.
